The Adair County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is still searching for award sponsors for the 2026 Adair County Fair.
Youth Coordinator Caroline Savage says that as the fair draws closer, sponsors for the awards given to exhibitors that are the winner or runner up for different exhibit areas are needed. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that there are some new opportunities as well as old ones.
“We are switching over to banners this year in place of all of our livestock trophies. So we are looking for sponsorships. It’ll be the same as past years where we’ve had the trophy sponsorships. Trophies will still be covered for events such as our clothing, table setting, bucket of junk, crop in the field, all of those ones, but all animals will be banners.”
Savage mentions that if individuals or businesses are interested in becoming a sponsor for banners, buckles or trophies, they can contact the Extension Office in Greenfield. She adds that they are really looking forward to getting everything prepared and ready to hand out come fair time.
