Those looking for time to craft can attend an event tomorrow in Perry.

The Friends of the Perry Public Library will host Crafting with Friends from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the McCreary Community Building, 1800 Pattee Street, in Perry.

Board President Kathy Miller says this will be the third year for the fundraiser. She adds that the registration cost of $50 includes a six-foot workspace, lunch and dinner along with snacks and beverages throughout the day.

Miller details that proceeds from the event will benefit the Perry Public Library, from monthly programs to special events like FamilyFest and the summer and winter reading programs.

She talks about what she enjoys most about the annual fundraiser.

“We like it because we have dedicated craft time and space. And then we just like to share ideas. We have a really good time, there’s lots of laughter when you come in, you hear lots of laughter.”

Miller encourages area residents to attend tomorrow’s event as it’s open to all crafters, from quilters to scrapbookers and more. Crafting vendors will also be on hand, along with a massage therapist.

Those interested can pick up a paper form at the Perry Public Library or can fill out an online form through the library’s website. Completed forms can be dropped off at the library.
