An annual golf tournament is underway with registrations ahead of the event during the Bell Tower Festival in June in Jefferson.
Greene County Medical Center Foundation is hosting the 18-hole best ball golf outing on June 12th at the Jefferson Community Golf Course. According to GCMC Foundation Director Nancy Houska, the proceeds from the golf tournament are typically used to purchase essential equipment, services of programs for the medical center.
She points out that with the recent new addition of an MRI machine at the medical center, the Foundation is going to utilize proceeds from this year’s golfing fundraiser to continue to provide support for this needed equipment to keep residents from going out of county for this kind of service.
Additionally, Houska notes that four-person teams and sponsorships are needed at this time and the benefits for being a sponsor range from entry into the golf tournament and your company’s visibility at the event, and hole sponsors allow businesses to be showcased throughout the course. The tournament begins at 9am with a shotgun start, with beverages, snacks and a lunch provided.
