Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Golf Head Coach Dana Brown expresses the great play of the Tiger individuals so far this season.

The Tigers opened up the year with a victory in a home triangular versus Winterset and Carlisle, then took losses to Gilbert and Woodward-Granger. ADM’s last meet against Ballard this past Thursday was cancelled due to the weather.

Brown shares that there was a little bit of uncertainty coming into the season after five seniors graduated last year from ADM, but multiple players such as sophomores Madison Gelhaar, Chloe Hokel, Natalie Lensch, and freshman Harlow Lenz have made great strides.

“All of them have really great potential. And we’ve already had those moments of shot pretty good and then how do you respond when you come back and then you don’t shoot so well? And that’s part of being a young golfer is tasting a little success and then having a hiccup and (then learning) how do I grow from that (and) how do I work from that.”

The Tigers have three competitions this week, as they will travel to Altoona this afternoon to play versus Bondurant-Farrar and Carroll at the Terrace Hills Golf Course at 4pm.
