The West Central Valley Girls and Boys Track and Field Teams were apart of the Dave Tapps Invitational in Van Meter on Thursday, as junior Mason Fuller captured the top spot in the open 400 Meters.

The Wildcats competed against 10 other schools, with Fuller running 54.71 seconds in the 400 Meters to win first place. Also, freshman Caden Lane tallied fourth in the Long Jump going a distance of 18 feet and 11.75 inches, and freshman Carson Tigges notched ninth place in the 800 Meters at 2:19.15.

On the girls side for the West Central Valley, junior Willow Ray captured first in the High Jump with a height of five feet and six inches and was eighth in the open 100 Meters (13.43 seconds) and 200 Meters (20.48 seconds), followed by sophomore Isabella Teague throwing a distance of 84 feet and one inch in the Discus, and freshman Lorelei Grinnell running 20.48 seconds in the 100 Meter Hurdles for 13th place.

The Wildcat Teams will return to the track on Tuesday for the West Central Activities Conference Meet at AC/GC High School in Guthrie Center, starting at 4pm. The full results from the Dave Tapps Invite can be found by clicking here.
