
On Thursday, the Perry Jayettes golf team traveled to the Woodward Golf Club for the Woodward Granger Girls Golf Invitational. Perry wrapped up the day in fifth place, with a team score of 419 strokes.
The Jayettes carried plenty of momentum onto the course in Woodward, with two straight first place finishes on Monday and Tuesday. The Whelchel’s continue to lead the charge for the Jayettes. Kalley has the best 9 hole score and average while Karagyn has the best 18 hole score and average.
Perry approaches the tail end of the season but take some time away from competitive play, returning to action on Wednesday for the Heart of Iowa conference tournament. Girls golf conference action from the Lincoln Valley Golf course in State Center is set to begin at 9am.
