The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls and Boys Track and Field Teams hosted the Raccoon River Conference Meet in Adel on Wednesday, as senior Elise Coghlan was named the champion in several events.
ADM Girls notched first place as a team with 177 points, and the Boys finished in second with 129 points, behind Gilbert. Coghlan won first place in the Girls 100 Meter Hurdles (15.07 seconds) as well as the 400 Meter Hurdles (1:05.38). She was also apart of the Girls 4×100 Meter Shuttle Hurdle and 800 Meter Sprint Medley Relays that captured first place.
Tiger junior Isabelle Book represented well, winning the Girls 100 Meters (12.87 seconds) and the 200 Meters (26.32 seconds), while senior Lauren Hagedorn came out on top in the Girls Shot Put at 39 feet and one inch.
On the boys side, junior Reid Kluesner completed a height of six feet and three inches in the High Jump, with junior Parker Hook nabbing second place in the open 400 Meters (51.27 seconds) and senior Hudson Shull followed in third at 51.56 seconds.
ADM sophomore Zane Johnson ran 11.34 seconds in the open 100 Meters for third place and was fourth in the 200 Meters at 22.70 seconds, then senior Ty Landphair garnered third place in the 800 Meters (2:01.11), and freshman Andrew Coller went 10:12.62 in the Boys 3200 Meters to secure fourth.
The Tigers will now prepare for the Class 3A State Qualifying Meet in Glenwood next Thursday, May 14th. The full results from the RRC Meet can be found by clicking here.
