Greene County still has regular season girls and boys soccer on the schedule, but the golf and track & field, the Rams enter the postseason later this week. Boys’ golf plays in a Class 3A Sectional Tournament on Wednesday at Storm Lake, and the girls go to a 2A Regional Tournament at Ida Grove on Friday. Both high school track & field squads have a 2A State qualifying Meet in Story City on Thursday hosted by Roland-Story.

The seniors, both male and female, are leading the way this Spring for the Rams. Coach Kyle Kinne’s boys’ golf team has a mixture of seniors and sophomores that have had their scores counted much of the season. Coach Heath Telleen’s girls’ golf team top five players are seniors. In track and field for both the girls and boys, numerous Greene County school records, and even some all-time program records, have been set this season, led by members of the senior class.

Academic and athletic awards, as well as financial scholarships, will be presented this Wednesday night at Greene County High School to members of the senior class.
