The Jefferson City Council will meet tomorrow night.

The meeting will start with a public hearing on the current fiscal year budget amendment, with the Council to consider approving that after the hearing. They will also consider approving the first reading to amend two ordinances regarding a water rate increase of two percent and a landfill monthly fee increase of $2.60 per household to cover the tipping fee increase from Metro Waste Authority. 

Additionally, the Council will also consider approving a resolution to hire a water superintendent, a resolution to increase the salaries of the department heads and hiring a sanitation worker. They will also consider for approval the first pay estimate for the fuel farm project, a resolution to authorize submission of an application to the Iowa Department of Transportation airport funding and hear an update from Greene County Development Corporation.
