A ceremonial Letter of Intent signing for Greene County High School senior Drew Wolterman was held on Monday at the high school in Jefferson. He plans to continue his education and track & field career at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo. He’s the son of Mark & Deb Wolterman and has been the top 400 meter and 800 meter runner for Coach Chad Morton and the Rams for much of his career.

Wolterman enters this Thursday’s Class 2A Coed State Qualifying Meet in Story City with opportunities to qualify for the Coed State Meet May 21-22-23 at Drake Stadium in Des Moines as an individual, and as a relay runner. He’s run numerous times at State Meets and Drake Relays previously in his career. He holds more than one Greene County High School record.

He plans on studying Criminal Justice at Hawkeye Community College. Wolterman told Raccoon Valley Radio the Criminal Justice two-year program there is regarded as among the best around.
