Guthrie County Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach is working together with Adair County ISU Extension and Outreach.
Guthrie County ISU Extension Program Director Shelby Van Horn says that the two offices are hosting Master Conservationist Courses, with both hosting classes. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that there’s more than one reason for individuals to take the courses.
“We also were able to offer AEA (Area Education Agency) credits. So if there are any educators that are required to get AEA credits, they are also eligible through that program as well. Anyone that’s interested is encouraged to call the Extension office and get signed up before next week, so you don’t miss out on too much of the series of lessons.”
Van Horn mentions that while they’ve already held one course, there is still room for individuals to sign up to take the rest. She adds that the next course will be held on May 21st beginning at 5pm.
