An annual bike riding event for Adel youth is set to take place on Saturday morning.

The Adel Rotary Club and the Adel Police Department will host the Seventh Annual Safety Bike Rodeo from 9-11 a.m. in the Adel City Hall parking lot, 301 S 10th Street.

The free event is geared for children ages 5-12. The Rotary Club says free bike and helmet inspections will be conducted by Bike World. Participants will learn about bike safety from members of the Adel Police Department.

There will also be a prize drawing giving participants chances to win gift cards for bikes and helmets, Adel Family Fun Center bowling, Billy’s Ice Cream cones, Domino’s pizzas and Subway sandwiches.

The Rotary Club adds that families can come and go during the event and they don’t need to be present to win.
