Eight track athletes will represent the Perry Bluejays and Jayettes this week at the 2026 Iowa State Track Meet at Drake Stadium. The state track meet is set to begin on Thursday and goes until Saturday.

The Jayettes send four total athletes, with Treasure Moore and Lily Myers qualifying in two individual events, while also joining the girls 800 sprint medley team alongside Cate Erickson and Selene Ayala. Moore qualified in the 100 and 200m dash, while Myers qualified in the 400 and 400m hurdles.

For the Bluejays, the 4x200m relay team qualified for state at large, as Rylan Modlin, Bryan Chavez, Xavier Leake and Michael Bahtagic will represent the Bluejays at state at the Blue Oval starting on Thursday.
