The Guthrie County Master Gardeners are going to be leading a fun workshop tomorrow.
Master Gardener Barb Gigar says that they will be working with Anne Riordan at Springbrook State Park for a foraging workshop. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio more about the class.
“So we’ll be taking a little bit of a stroll through Springbrook and locating some different edibles that are out this time of year. Anne will help us identify those and share with us ways that you can prepare those. And she does a great program. I love working with Anne. She’s so full of enthusiasm and you’ll have a great time. So you’ll get a hike, and get to taste some different things, and take home some different ways to prepare things that you can go out and find now.”
Gigar mentions that Anne will also help participants to recognize different plants and things to avoid because they are inedible. She adds that the class begins at 5pm, and that there is a registration fee of $20.
