Tonight is the Greene County Chamber Annual Meeting.
Chamber Director Chris Henning says it will be at the Jefferson Elks Lodge starting with a social hour at 5:30pm.
Just after 6pm will be the presentation of colors by the Jefferson VFW Post #9599 followed by the Greene County High School Vocal Department performing the National Anthem and then the dinner will be served by the Jefferson Does.
Shortly after the meal, 2014 Chamber board president Ben Yoder will make some introductions of representatives from different groups and organizations in attendance followed by the business meeting.
Henning states that they will induct the new board members and officers for 2015, review the Chamber highlights from 2014 and talk about the welcome center.
She points out two other important topics towards the end of the event.
“We’re doing our milestone memberships. We have four different businesses who are at 25 and 35 years of being Chamber members so we’ll introduce them. And also the ABC (Above and Beyond the Call) Volunteer Achievement Award will be announced.”
Once the meeting has concluded everyone is invited to stay and watch Angie and Robby Pederson from History Boy Theatre perform “Flight of the Lawnchair Man”.
