The Dallas County ISU Extension Office is offering a program this winter aimed at helping young children learn early literacy skills.
The Family Storyteller program is a six week long unit that kicks off tomorrow. It takes place at Perry Head Start from 1:30-3pm each Thursday through February 19th. Parents and their preschoolers are encouraged to participate and learn the skills that will help predict the student’s success in school.
Attendees will receive six books to take home throughout the program, along with at home activities. There’s no cost to participate and snacks will be provided.
