Perry senior Maggie Lowe will play college basketball next season at Wayne State in Nebraska. In the meantime, she is contributing in one more sport at Perry before she heads west to pursue her college basketball dreams and Head Coach Matt Hardy couldn’t be happier.
“The return of Maggie was big for our program this year,” smiled the first year coach. “She is a good leader and brings some speed to our sprinting events.”
Lowe did not go out for track last year but has returned this season. She made an immediate impact in Perry’s first outdoor meet of the season winning the 200 meter dash in a time of 27.92 and placing 4th in the 100 with a time of 13.72. She also anchored the winning 4 x 400 meter relay last Thursday night. Lowe and the Jayettes will travel to Woodward tonight for the Cavanaugh Relays beginning at 4:30.
