With summer vacation just a month away, the Guthrie Center public library is in the final stages of planning their summer reading programs. Head librarian Pat Sleister says there will be a lot of different activities at the library this summer. “Our very first summer reading session will feature Chad Elliott, the singer-songwriter from Coon Rapids. We have the Blank Park Zoo coming one day to do a program. We have a puppet theatre from Jamesport, Missouri coming up to do a program. We also have a super hero boot camp type of thing, that me and the staff are going to do.”

Sleister will be our guest today on Let’s Talk Guthrie County to talk more about the upcoming events at the library. It airs during the 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. hours on K107.9 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
