The Panorama girls basketball team narrowly missed the state tournament last season. The Panthers fell 32-31 in a low scoring substate game, in which they were favored to beat Des Moines Christian. They lost a group of talented seniors including Jessi Campbell, Shelby Lane, Hannah Appleseth, Jade Cunningham, Emily Neel and Brooke Beckman, but longtime coach Dan Druivenga has a deep pool of talented athletes to try and fill some of the holes left by last year’s large departure. The Panthers begin practice today.
