Two grant award ceremonies have been scheduled in Greene County.

The Greene County Community Foundation will award their grants on Monday, March 28th at 7pm at the Presbyterian Church in Jefferson. President Tim Heisterkamp says their 28-member board allocated $119,000 to local projects with funds coming from the gaming license holder for Wild Rose Casino, Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation. They received over $300,000 in requests. The Community Foundation took grant requests of less than $35,000.

Grow Greene County will host their first-ever grant award ceremony on Monday, April 4th at the Greene Room Events Center at Wild Rose. President Norm Fandel says their committee received  between $900,000 and $1 million in grant requests for the first grant cycle. A social hour will begin at 7pm and the ceremony will start at 7:30.

The public is invited to both events.
