The A-D-M Lady Tigers Volleyball team improved their District record to 6-0 with a thrilling 5 set win over the Phillies of Dallas Center-Grimes. A-D-M won the first two sets by scores of 25-15 & 29 to 27, but Dallas Center rallied to win sets three & four 25 to 23 & 28 to 26 to set up set five which went to the Lady Tigers 15 to 10.
Outstanding performances were turned in by Torrie Hook who led A-D-M with 33 digs and also recorded 17 kills, Madi Powers recorded 18 digs, Allison Gottschalk had 27 kills while Emily Hicks had 9 blocks on the night.
“We needed to put them away in game 3 but made some errors at crucial times,” said Head Coach Mary Beth Scott, “Overall I was proud of how the girl’s fought back.”
The Lady Tigers improved their season record to 18-5 with a game record of 44-17 and remain in 1st place in the District. They travel to Mason City tomorrow morning for 9am match.
