The Greene County Board of Supervisors met yesterday in regular session.

City Administrator Mike Palmer gave an update from the special Friday, February 1st meeting.  He explained to the board about possible ownership of the Raccoon Valley Golf Course.  He said the city council was split on whether or not they wanted to purchase and have ownership of the golf course.  Palmer commented that they city looked into leasing out the clubhouse.  There was interest shown from private parties who said they would agree to a leasing deal.  However, Palmer noted that the city doesn’t want to hire anyone to maintain the golf course.

The other item Palmer presented to the board was Cobblestone Hotels.  He said that groundwork has begun before February 1st, laying in the sewer system.  He pointed out that there wasn’t much discussion during the special meeting concerning Cobblestone Hotels wanting to implement a structure in Jefferson.

The Supervisors then continued to conduct open reviews for county employees.  All positive comments were made for County Sanitarian and Zoning Tim Healy, IT/Drainage Michelle Fields and Engineer Wade Weiss.  No composite scores were available at the time of the reviews.

The annexation report for DD190 was discussed.  Applicant Don Dumlop asked the board for more information concerning the tile drainage for DD190.  He wanted to get the facts straight before he made a decision to be apart of the annexation agreement with Meryl and Bruce Youngblood.  No action was taken during the discussion.
