The Aktion Club of Greene County invites the public to help support Relay for Life of Greene County at the Jefferson Pizza Ranch tonight.
The 25-person, nonprofit group will be busing tables and all tips collected from 5-8pm will go to Relay for Life of Greene County.
Greene County Medical Center Foundation Director Hollie Roberts says she’s hoping to raise between $300-$400, but that the members are passionate when it comes to giving back to the community.
“We learned a long time ago that if we’re going to have an event, we need to follow through on it because they really get involved in it and they’re enthused about it and so they’re all really excited about busing tables Monday night. It’s service to others and that’s what they believe in.”
In the last three years, the Aktion Club has raised over $1,000 for Relay for Life.
The fundraising event is from 5-8pm tonight at the Jefferson Pizza Ranch.
