Friday, April 5th

A deputy was advised of a burglary and theft of money from Quad County Ag. In Paton.  The deputy initiated an investigation into the theft.

A deputy was unable to locate a reported careless driver on 220th Street near Highway 144.

A deputy was advised of a vehicle driving erratically on 222nd Street. The deputy was not able to locate the pickup truck at that time.

A deputy was advised of an ATV being ridden within the city limits of Scranton. The deputy spoke with several residents and was unable to confirm what type of vehicle or who may have been operating that ATV.

A deputy reported that a fire had rekindled around the Goose Lake area. It was reported that a controlled burn was conducted earlier in the day at that location. The Jefferson Fire Department was called out to extinguish the fire.

Saturday, April 6th

A deputy was advised of a person walking west on 220th Street near Reuters Golf Course. The deputy responded and gave that individual a ride to Jefferson.

A deputy was asked to remove a deer carcass from the roadway on Highway 144 near Rippey.

A deputy was called to Grand Junction to help with a family dispute in the 700 block of East Railroad Street.

A deputy was advised of the theft of household furnishings from a rental property in Grand Junction. The owner of the property later phoned the Law Enforcement Center stating that the property had been returned.

A deputy was advised of a timber fire in the 400 block of C Avenue. The Churdan Fire Department was paged out to extinguish the fire.

Sunday, April 7th

Two Greene County deputies were dispatched to Scranton for a one vehicle accident.  A 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck owned and being driven by Edgar Perez of Scranton struck a curb in the 900 block of Madison Street and rolled the pickup onto its side. Edgar Nunez Perez was not injured but was arrested at the scene for OWI 1st offense, failure to obey a stop sign, and failure to maintain control. Scranton Rescue assisted the Greene County Sheriff’s Office with the accident.

A deputy was advised of several people in the ditch near U Avenue and 220th Street. The individuals were located, questioned and then later released.

A deputy was asked to check a residence in Paton for an E-911 hang up call. It was  determined that a child at the residence had dialed 911 and had hung up right away.

A deputy was asked by a Scranton resident to view some text messages that she had received. The female stated that she would be bringing the phone to the Law Enforcement Center for the deputy to view.

A deputy was asked to assist in finding a runaway child in Scranton. The youth later returned home and was taken to his grandmother’s home in Jefferson.

A deputy was advised of possible cyber hacking to a Grand Junction residents personal  account. There was nothing substantiated at that time.

A deputy was advised that Frank Adamson of Scranton had struck a deer on 220th Street at G Avenue. There was no damage to Adamson’s vehicle and no state report was filed.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
