Greene County High School will have seven girls’ events and four events for boys at the 2013 Iowa High School Coed State Track & Field Championships May 16-18 at Drake Stadium in Des Moines. Two of the girls shared their goals for the meet with Raccoon Valley Radio Network.

Senior discus thrower Quinn Flack is making a second straight State Meet appearance. She said “I”d really like to get another PR (personal record)). That seemed to be a trend at the beginning of the season, but honestly, just throwing my best and having fun is what I’m most worried about.”

Sophomore long jumper Emma Saddoris said trying to PR and have fun are her goals. “I didn’t even think I’d make it there. I wanted to, but it kind of surprised me when I found out, so I just want to do my best and have fun.”
