At the end of last week, we heard ADM girls basketball coach Brett Watson discuss a couple Tigers that will be returning to his squad next season, and we’ll continue such discussion today.

Along with leading scorer Brianna Mueller, sharp-shooter Molly Jacobsen will be back, and Coach Watson says he wants to see Molly continue to progress with her outside shooting ability… just as she did during the second half of this season.

“Playing the forward position she is a very tough matchup for girls because she can shoot it so well outside, and a lot of those big girls aren’t used to coming out to her.  Another thing that really improved with about halfway through the season was her rebounding–she started to rebound the ball a lot better.  That opened up all of her game, and I think once she started concentrating on her rebounding, her offensive game really increased and that really helped us.”

Molly ended this season as the Tigers’ second leading scorer, averaging 9.3 points per game.  She was also the team’s second leading rebounder, corralling 4.3 boards per contest.
