Soccer ballThe ADM/Van Meter girls soccer team is just one win away from making it back to the state tournament for a fourth consecutive season.

Standing in the Tigers’ way is their rival–the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs.

But before ADM could get a shot at DC-G, the Tigers had to take care of business against Des Moines Hoover this week.  Coach Kelsey Dolder says she made it an emphasis to her players not to get caught looking ahead.

“I just told that them that Des Moines Hoover would be coming out 110%, giving it all they had.  I also told them we had to come out strong and if we didn’t, it could be anyone’s game.”

ADM did come out strong in their Class 2A Region 3 semifinal, disposing of the Huskies 4-0.

Now, the Tigers get the rematch they’ve been waiting for.

“It’ll be a very good match.  I think the girls are looking forward to it; I’m looking forward to getting a rematch against them (too).  We’ve only beat DC-G once in our school’s history, so… it’ll be good.”
