It’s Volunteer Day in the Perry School District and high school students will spend their day giving back to the community.
It’s an annual homecoming week tradition that Superintendent Lynn Ubben says it a win-win for all. Students will be out doing everything from downtown clean up and window painting to cleaning up the parks and trails, visiting residents at the Rowley Masonic Home and Lutheran Home, washing dogs, replacing pictures in the commons area and doing yard work for area residents.
Perry Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Bob Wilson agrees that there are many benefits to Volunteer day and encourages the community to get behind the school district and show their Bluejay and Jayette pride.
