The final Greene County Farmer’s Market is this evening.

The farmer’s market has been going on since the beginning of June with a variety of vegetables, baked goods, meat and other items available for the public to enjoy.

Another feature at every farmer’s market has been a fundraiser meal for a non-profit organization.  Tonight’s featured organization is the Jefferson Matters: Main Street group that will be serving ice, pie and lemonade or coffee as part of their “Putting the Farmer’s Market to Bed, Sweet Dreams” event.  JMMS Program Director Alan Robinson says they will be sell their new Jefferson Matters t-shirts while also serving their desserts at the market.

The final farmer’s market of the year will be on the east side of the courthouse in Jefferson from 4-6:30pm.
