The Adel City Council will meet in regular session Tuesday.
Items on the agenda include notice of a public meeting in regards to a presentation from McClure Engineering about the flooded basements issue, followed by discussion on the proposed Main Street Reconstruction Project and approval of a contract with McClure for research on storm water and sewer systems.
The Council will then consider restating the conditions and approving to use of the Raccoon River Valley Trail in city limits for snowmobiles, consider approving the annual city street financial report and discussion on a lease agreement with New Cingular Wireless.
Next up is approval of construction of a concrete slab at 1301 Lynne Drive, approve a special event permit for John’s Baby Steps on October 3rd, consider approving an ADM Elementary Tigers in Training fun run event for September 25th and consider the ninth payment and change order for the Adel Main Street Façade Rehabilitation project.
An amendment to the employee handbook will then be considered, along with refunds of health insurance premiums for a police officer and former police secretary, discussion on a chicken ordinance and talk about a new website complaint reporting.
The meeting takes place at 6pm at the Adel City Hall.
