Raccoon Valley Radio’s Caring Christmas Food Drive continues this week in Greene County.

It’s our fourth annual food drive to help each of our community’s food shelves provide extra items for those in need this holiday season. Plus, all food collected for the rest of this month, during our broadcasts, stay in our respective areas.  Greene County Action Resource Center Site Manager Diane Blackmer is appreciative of all the donations during this time of year.

“Various clubs and organizations (and) businesses do food drives.  The one that Raccoon Valley Radio does brings us a lot of donations.  When Doug (Rieder) pulled up with that van (Big Red Radio) with boxes and boxes of food last year, that was fantastic.”

Our live broadcasts in Greene County this week include tomorrow night from 5 to 7pm at 209 Main Restaurant in Paton, Friday from 3 to 5pm at Jefferson Hy-Vee and on Saturday from 3 to 5pm at Jefferson Fareway, sponsored by Carroll Hydraulics.
