There’s still time to sign up for this year’s Greene County Chamber Golf Outing.
Coordinator Brandon Gustoff says they’ve added a couple of activities for the annual event. There will be glow-in-the-dark golf, where participants are given light up golf balls and hit their balls toward the lit flag poles. He explains another game that people can play during the daytime outing.
“It’s called ‘Ace in the Hole’. It’s kind of like a poker run around the golf course. You’ll start out with a $10 anny up at hole number five and you’ll go around, and there’ll be specific holes that you can play, and you’ll receive cards. Hopefully by the end of the day, you’ll have five cards. Whoever has the best hand by the end of the day wins half of the pot.”
The cost to play all 18 holes during the day, plus nine holes for night time golf, with dinner included is $275. The day time golf outing is only $200 and dinner is included. If you want to golf at night, the individual rate is $40 and for the foursome, it is $160 with dinner included. Cart rental is an additional $25. There will also be prizes for the winning team with the lowest score, as well as longest drive and putt for men and women. Hole sponsors are $100.
Registrations for the golf outing is at 12:30pm on Friday, June 24th at the Jefferson Community Golf Course. The shotgun start is at 2pm and night time golf will start at 9pm.
