This summer continues to be a busy one in the Perry School District with several projects being worked on before classes resume next month.

Superintendent Lynn Ubben says some of the projects are continuations of things that have been worked on for some time, others are regular maintenance.

“You know, we had the elementary parking lot, that was a huge project where we had the front and back (redone) but we had the entrances that needed to be completed (this summer).  The middle school locker rooms are the middle school locker rooms from 1960, so they need some improvement.  So we will get some new floors and dress that up, and then painting and showers of course at the middle school will be done and carpeting.  Heat pumps at the elementary, you know that continuing project that we’re still not done with after this summer, but there’s only so many they can do.  So hopefully next summer we will finish the heat pump (project).”

So far she says things are moving along fine and should be completed before students and staff return to the buildings.
