The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will convene Tuesday morning in regular session.

The meeting will begin with a presentation on the City of Adel’s comprehensive plan. The Board will then continue discussion and have possible action on the request by the Treasurer’s Office to purchase a Q-matic system for the new motor vehicle office to be located at the courthouse. At 9:30 a.m., there will be a public hearing that will kick off several other items. The hearing is regarding the designation of an economic development Urban Renewal Area with the Tyson Foods plant in Perry. Following that, the Supervisors will have the first reading of an ordinance to set up the Urban Renewal Area and Tax Increment Financing (TIF). They will then approve a joint agreement with the City of Perry, which has already been approved by the Perry City Council.

Other items on the agenda include: dust control vendor permits; a severe weather awareness week proclamation; setting the time and date for a public hearing on the five-year road construction program; and setting a time and date to consider a development agreement with Tyson Foods and setting up TIF payments. Finally, the Board will consider a funding advance request from Homecare Services. The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Board of Supervisors meeting room, located at 902 Court Street in Adel.
