Head coach of the AC/GC volleyball team Trevor Irwin was recognized for a stellar second season.

The West Central Activities Conference announced awards and all-conference selections last week. There were six Charger athletes who received all-conference selections. The WCAC also voted Irwin as Coach of the Year. In Irwin’s second year as head coach, the Chargers broke their single-season win record with 28. AC/GC finished 9-1 in conference play, with their lone blemish coming to WCAC champion Des Moines Christian. The Charger’s season concluded in the regional semi-finals as they fell to regional runner-up Underwood.

Next season AC/GC will bring back a strong core as they hope to build on a 28-8 finish.
