New Opportunities Guthrie County Family Development Center is still accepting donations for their annual school supply program.

The organization provides free school supplies to children in preschool through eighth grade in low-income eligible families and the program is made entirely possible by donations from the community. Donations are being accepted until August 12th, and can be dropped off at Ben’s Five and Dime in Panora, Dollar General and Hometown Foods in Guthrie Center, or at their office in Guthrie Center City Hall. Coordinator Rhonda Huggins says they are in most need of multicolored pocket folders and glue sticks, and you can find more information here.
