The West Central Valley Wildcats boys basketball team has been able to be competitive in some of their games so far this year, including a big double overtime victory in December over the Bluejays of Perry. One of the things that the Wildcats have been better than last year but still looking for improvement in their assist to turnover ratio.

So far this season the Wildcats have been able to put together 60 assists as a team through their game so far this season, led by junior Jackson Doyle’s 15 assists. The Wildcats have turned the ball over at times throughout the season, as they currently as a team have 155 turnovers. Being tough and strong with the basketball while making smart decisions is something the Wildcats will be looking to do more of during the next stretch of their season.

The Wildcats boys will have a tough test for their next game on Tuesday, when they take on the Bulldogs of Van Meter.
