Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers girls track and field were able to put together a strong performance on Thursday night at their district meet at Carlisle, putting up 121 team points, tying for 3rd in the event and falling just short of the state qualification. However, the Tigers did have multiple athletes and teams that were able to qualify for the state meet.

The 4×100 team was able to qualify with a time of 50.86 seconds, their fastest mark of the season. Olivia Tollari was able to qualify in the 200 meter race, winning with a time of 26.42 seconds. Tollari was able to continue her monster day by winning the long jump with a mark of 17-10. Another athlete in Ella Grossman was able to qualify for state by finishing 2nd in the 100m in 13.34. Kirsten Kilker was able to finish second in the shot put with a mark of 37-4. The Tigers were able to have a bunch of athletes extend their seasons after their events.

The meet will be happening next week, as the Tigers will be looking for great results in the biggest meet of the year.
