ADM Tiger sophomore pitcher Aliya Yanga had to be great on Wednesday night when she took on one of the best offenses in the state in Winterset, and she delivered and then some as she struck out 18 batters in a tremendous 6-2 victory over the Huskies. Winterset was number 2 in the state coming in and ADM 5th as the Tigers were able to deliver a big victory to grab their 5th win out of the last 6 games in the series.

Yanga gave up only 2 runs on 3 hits as she was able to be perfect through five innings, before giving up a baserunner and a hit in the 6th. ADM was able to score all six of their runs in the 4th inning, as they were able to bring ten hitters to the plate. Olivia Wyant was able to get an RBI single to make it 1-0, Addison Banse a two run single to make it 3-0, Ella Grossman hit a 2 run double, and then Brooke Hickey got an RBI single as the Tigers got 5 of their 7 hits on the night in that inning.

ADM will be back to work tonight as they continue their tough stretch against Carlisle on the road. First pitch is projected to be at 7:30.
