An ongoing campaign with the Perry Community School District is raising money for a good cause.

The Bluejay Jayette Coaches VS Cancer Game Night will take place January 28th when Perry takes on the Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs. Superintendent Clark Wicks says the event is a way to remember people who have had cancer and remember loved ones. 

“To show that support for each other. When the times are tough for people we want to be able to help, support and acknowledge that it’s a real thing and yet working together we can get through this.”

All of the funds raised during the campaign will be donated to the American Cancer Society. T-shirts are currently being sold and orders must be placed before 4 p.m. Tuesday, January 18th and can be done so online.
