The ADM Tigers are scheduled to face off against the Winterset Huskies tonight in a game that’s has two communities full attention due to the two schools only being less than 30 minutes away.  Which has long fueled a friendly rivalry between them. This matchup comes a week after the Tigers played their first game of the season, and so far, they seem to have maintained their focus. That’s thanks to multiple aspects of leadership provided by their seniors, which has been a valuable asset as they prepare to hit the road for this important game. “you always want your seniors to be your great leaders…it’s all about instilling a standard on what you expect than keeping your kids to that standard” as coach Randy Schrader has put his trust in his leaders.

The last time these two teams played it was on September 16, 2022. Aiden Flora and Brevin Doll, both juniors at the time, combined for 5 touchdowns. The Tigers Christian Madison tallied 14 tackles in the single game. Winterset’s Connor Pashek, a recent Huskie graduate, and now junior Hank Wilmes combined a score of 14 for the Huskies. Now senior Zac Mortvedt earned himself an interception for the night while also getting 7.5 tackles. The Huskies were unable to score their 2 points until the 3rd quarter and unable to put anymore points on the board for the remainder of the game.

Both teams will likely approach the game with their usual strategies and determination, making it an interesting contest to watch for fans of high school sports. The Tigers’ ability to rely on their senior leadership could be a key factor in their performance, while the Huskies will also be looking to put on a strong showing in front of their home crowd.
