The Upper Iowa University (Fayette) football team will be playing in the Albanese Candy Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 6 in Hobart, Indiana. Nathan Behne, a 2024 Greene County High School graduate, is the kicker and punter for the Peacocks, who went 8-3 during the regular season and 6-2 in Great Lakes Valley Conference games. This is the first UIU bowl appearance since moving up to NCAA Division II. The Peacocks will face Hillsdale (Mich.), a 6-5 team who is riding a four game winning streak.

Behne averaged 43.3 yards per punt with seven boots longer than 50 yards. He went eight for 11 on field goal tries with a long of 51 and averaged 61 yards per kickoff. Nathan is the son of former Jefferson residents Carl and Allison Behne.
