A Rippey woman was recently arrested for attempted murder.

According to court documents, a Jefferson Police Officer responded to a call of an alleged assault at a home at 3:23am Tuesday morning. Court documents show that when the officer arrived on scene, the homeowner was found outside claiming that the assailant, 34-year-old Dakota Sheer, was inside the house, without permission, and where three children were present.

The criminal complaint states that Sheer refused to comply with the officers commands of placing her arms behind her back and was eventually handcuffed. Court documents show that the victim said Sheer came to the victim’s home and Sheer was asked to leave, she refused and a physical altercation took place. The affidavit states that injuries to the victim corroborated the claims of the assault and the victim stated that Sheer had said she wanted to kill the victim as the assault was taking place.

Sheer was charged with two Class B Felonies for attempted murder and first degree burglary, a Class D Felony for assault while participating in a felony and two aggravated misdemeanors for first degree harassment and child endangerment. A no contact order is also in place with the victim. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
