The Congressional Art Contest has begun accepting submissions for 2026.

Representative for Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District Zach Nunn invites high school artists to submit their works for the contest. Each entry must also include a student information and release form signed by the student, an art teacher, and a parent or guardian, and is open to all high school students within Nunn’s district. Eligible media includes paintings, drawings, two dimensional collages, prints, mixed media, computer generated art and photography.

Prizes will be awarded to the top four submissions. The fourth place submission will be displayed at the Creston district office, with third place displayed at the Ottumwa district office, and second place displayed at the Des Moines district office. The submission that receives first place will be displayed at the US Capitol for one year, June 2026 to May 2027, and the artist will receive a trip to Washington DC. Rules for submissions can be found at this link.
