A Churdan man was recently sentenced to prison for a theft incident.

According to court documents, 57-year-old Jay Orsack pled guilty to a Class D Felony for second degree theft-habitual offender. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

The charge stemmed from an investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office in May of 2025, when an abandoned vehicle was found struck in a field drive, after causing $3,000 worth of damage to a crop field. Court documents show that investigators found out the vehicle belonged to Jay Orsack.

Court documents show that Orsack still has two other alleged criminal cases that were unrelated to the theft incident that are still pending.
