While all eyes were captivated by the action taking place at Drake Stadium this past week, the Mustangs still had their other activities in action to close out the weekend.
Boys’ tennis had back-to-back meet days on Thursday and Friday. They took on the Indians first and beat them by a score of 6-5. The next day, DCG was a part of the Ankeny Invite that included eight total schools. The Mustangs ended the day in a tie for 6th place.
The DCG soccer teams both ended in ties in their last contests. The girls took on the Maroons in Dowling Catholic, while the boys faced off against the Southeast Polk Rams. Each team had their chances, but the keepers were dialed in during both games as each ended in a 0-0 tie.
Both the boys and girls soccer teams with their first ties of the season push their records to 8-1-1 and 5-1-1 respectively.
