April 19

Ramiro Guzman Robles, Perry, was driving in the 15000 block of 130^th street when he said he swerved to miss a deer. The vehicle went into the ditch and rolled onto its top. No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $10,000. Mr. Robles was issued a citation for Failure To Maintain Control.

Diane Boell, Carroll, was driving in the 22000 block of Hwy 141 when she said she experienced a tire failure. She tried to pull to the side of the highway and lost control, going into the ditch. She was checked by EMS on the scene. Damage was estimated at $1,000. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

April 20

Shelby Sheppard, age 29, 400 W Oak St, Mount Ayr, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Violation Of Probation.

April 21

Akeeo Williams, age 30, 210 S. 41^st St, West Des Moines, was arrested for Violation Of No Contact Order.

Katie Powell, age 36, 1200 University Ave, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear. The original charge was Theft 3^rd.

Misty Hubbard, age 49, 516 2^nd St, Redfield, was arrested on a warrant for Assault On Persons In Certain Occupations, Domestic Abuse Assault and Violation Of No Contact Order.

April 23

Keinneal Zuu, age 25, 827 Shaw St, Des Moines, was arrested for Driving While Barred.  He was also cited for Driving While License Under Suspension.

Jeffrey Fortin, age 31, 17115 Meredith Road, Waukee, was arrested on a warrant for Violation Of Probation Terms.

Harris Kpor, age 31, 8602 Westown Pkwy, West Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Violation Of Probation Terms.

Hannah Harbison, age 19, 6015 Bennie Day Road, Omaha, NE, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear. The original charge was Failure To Stop In Assured Clear Distance.

April 27

Matthew Brown, Knoxville,  was driving on Hwy 141 near Wendover Ave. when he said he fell asleep and floated onto the shoulder. When he tried to correct the vehicle, he went into the ditch. Both occupants were checked by EMS and released on the scene. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $20,000. Mr. Brown was issued a citation for Failure To Maintain Control.

Erin Koelker, Waukee, was driving on Hwy 6 at R Ave. when a vehicle driven by Deborah Baruth, Alpena, SD, pulled into the intersection causing a collision. Both drivers were transported to the hospital for evaluation of any injuries. Damage to Ms. Koelker’s vehicle was estimated at $30,000 and damage to Ms. Baruth’s car was estimated at $40,000. Ms. Baruth was issed a citation for Fail To Obey Stop Sign and Yield Right Of Way.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
