• Progressive Field has not been to friendly to the Perry baseball team early this summer.  The Bluejays were shut out for the third time this season at home last night falling to Carlisle 5-0.  Wildcat junior Peyton Burris scattered six hits and two walks over seven innings while striking out four.  Perry junior Cavan Finn took the loss after pitching the first five innings, allowing only 2 earned runs and 4 strikeouts.  Carlisle scored twice in the second on a Zethan Wycoff two run home run.  The Cats plated three more runs in the fifth after a two out error prolonged the inning.  All three runs were unearned.  The Perry bats remained quiet all night long, stranding 6 runners on base.  Ben Daniels led the way with a pair of hits, while Jeremiah Ellett, Finn and Zach Roberts all added singles.  The Bluejays hit into two double plays.
  • Perry is 3-3 on the season and 0-2 in the RRC, while Carlisle improves to 2-5 and 2-0 in the RRC.
  • The Bluejays will travel to Greene County tonight for a non conference game with the Rams.  Tonight marks the first of 5 straight road games.  You can listen to the game on KG 98.
  • Perry has not scored a run in three home games this year.  They have been outscored under the new Musco lighting 19-0.
