The girls wrestling team that Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School partners traveled to Ames over the weekend for their latest meet.
Raccoon River Wrestling competed at the Ames Invite on Saturday, where they tallied seventh place out of 16 teams. Key matches included Mya Van Beek (100 lbs) over Ames’ Sophia Ramirez for fifth place, Carlee Graham (100 lbs) defeating Ramirez for fifth, Alise Moser (110 lbs) defeated Sienna Carrillo for fifth place, Elizabeth Ehlen garnered fourth place, BethAnn Templeman (135 lbs) over Mia Ahrendsen for third place, and Kadyn Tierney (190 lbs) marked a sxith place spot.
RRW will now gear up to battle in the Council Bluffs Wrestling Classic on Friday at noon, at the Mid-America Center. The full results from the Ames Invite can be found below.
