2020 Greene County High School graduate Tyler Miller has been named to the All-Big 12 Conference Football Third Team. The Iowa State University offensive tackle from rural Scranton is a sixth year senior who has started a Big 12-best 39 straight games and an ISU offensive lineman record 50 games. Miller and his teammates have led the Cyclones to at least 150 rushing yards in its last seven games, one of just seven active streaks of that length nationally.
The Cyclones went 8-4 during the regular season and will play in a bowl game, which will be revealed this Sunday. Even though Iowa State doesn’t play this week, the Mark Miller family doesn’t have a Saturday off. Younger son Jesse, a tight end at the U. of South Dakota, and his teammates play in Macon, GA vs. Mercer in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Series (FCS) second round of the playoffs.
